Vintage Phoenix Consolidated Art Vase "The Dancing Nymphs" c 1928-38

Description

A rare shade of the "Nymph Vase" in excellent condition, never out of the box till now.  It stands 11.75" tall and 9.25" in diameter, with a 5.25" base. In untouched condition, this Art- Deco type of vase was designed to be in competition with Lalique Glass, and was manufactured by the Consolidated Lamp and Glass Company of Coraopolis, PA. It was designed by Kenneth and Ruben Haley as part of the "Martele" line. It seems to have come in at least 3 variations, and I believe this is the nicest of them. It is labeled on the bottom with L. A. Breton & Fils, 1530 Rue Cascades, St. Hyacinthe, and was purchased in Quebec, Canada (near Montreal) as a wedding gift. PLEASE NOTE: brown markings are an "artifact" of the camera I used, and skin shading is not as dark as in the photo !!
